We are very appreciative of Tammie and John Wilcox for allowing us to rent their training building for our classes. Please read this thoroughly before you attend your first class.
Win-Star is conveniently located off Highway 512. The business fronts to 112th Street East. There are driveways on either side of the training building. Please drive SLOW as the boarding kennel also uses these driveways for access.
The entrances to the training building are at the south end (furthest away from 112st Street East. One door is on the east corner and the other door is on the south side. Please park carefully (on the grass is okay) so as not to block anyone. Potty your dog in the grass areas (not on the flowers or building) and clean up after your dog. There is a poop bucket near the entrances.
Please bring your own soft-sided crate. There are chairs available and indoor restrooms.

Overview
Competition Obedience Classes with Kathy Lang are divided into two types of classes: Foundation Skills (FS) are classes in which new skills will be introduced. Proofing & Ring Prep (PRP) are classes for students whose dogs have learned the main components of the various exercises and are ready to put them together for ring readiness and trial preparation. Not every class is offered every session. See class descriptions for more information. If you don’t see what you are looking for, email Kathy with your specific needs.

if a class HAS ALREADY STARTED...
If the class you were hoping to join has already started, please email Kathy with details and she may be able to accommodate you in the class you want.
if a class NEEDS TO BE CANCELED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT...
If the class you were hoping to join lacks enrollment (minimum of 4 students in most classes required), Kathy will contact you and give you the options of joining a different class or receiving a refund. For this reason, please enroll as early as you can.
if a class NEEDS TO BE CANCELED DUE TO bad weather or other extenuating circumstances...
Cancelations will be posted on the private Student Facebook page, as well as the home page of this website. Every effort will be made to reach students individually via email, SMS and/or phone; however, especially with weather issues, please be sure to check this site and FB before driving to class.

If the class you were hoping to join is fully booked, and you'd like to be added to a waiting list, please email Kathy with information about your availability for the class level you're interested in as she may have other options for you.

NEED A FLYER TO SHARE?
WA State Dept. of Revenue now requires the collection of sales tax on our dog training classes (but not private lessons, rent-a-rings or run-throughs). Click here to see the law. The current sales tax for Win-Star's location in Unincorporated Pierce County is 10.1%. The current sales tax for Family Dog's location in Kent is 10.4%. All published class prices now include sales tax.

The facility is now fully matted (photo at left). There are mirrors on several walls and plenty of room for students to crate inside the facility (by the entrance -- not pictured).
