Overview

 

Competition Obedience Classes with Kathy Lang are divided into two types of classes:  Foundation Skills (FS) are classes in which new skills will be introduced.  Proofing & Ring Prep (PRP) are classes for students whose dogs have learned the main components of the various exercises and are ready to put them together for ring readiness and trial preparation.   Not every class is offered every session.  See class descriptions for more information.  If you don’t see what you are looking for, email Kathy with your specific needs.

CLASSES LOCATIONS

 

​TUESDAY DAYTIME CLASSES are being held at Family Dog Training Center in Kent, WA. 

​

WEDNESDAY EVENING CLASSES are being held at Win-Star Bed & Biscuit in Tacoma, WA.  

​

THURSDAY EVENING CLASSES (when offered) are being held at Win-Star Bed & Biscuit in Tacoma, WA.

if a class HAS ALREADY STARTED...

 

If the class you were hoping to join has already started, please email Kathy with details and she may be able to accommodate you in the class you want.

if a class NEEDS TO BE CANCELED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT...

 

If the class you were hoping to join lacks enrollment (minimum of 5 students in most classes required), Kathy will contact you and give you the options of joining a different class or receiving a refund.  For this reason, please enroll as early as you can.

if a class NEEDS TO BE CANCELED DUE TO bad weather or other extenuating circumstances...

​

Cancelations will be posted on the private Student Facebook page, as well as the home page of this website.  Every effort will be made to reach students individually via email, SMS and/or phone; however, especially with weather issues, please be sure to check this site and FB before driving to class.

if a class is full...

 

If the class you were hoping to join is fully booked, and you'd like to be added to a waiting list, please email Kathy with information about your availability for the class level you're interested in as she may have other options for you.

interested in doing a drop-in?

Some classes have space for the occasional drop-in student.  The drop-in fee is $45 cash or check only, effective April 21, 2025.  Please email Kathy to make sure there is space in the class you would like to attend:  KathyLangCoaching@outlook.com.
