This photo shows the obedience and rally building used for the Rent A Ring. It's the same building, and same rings, as the clubs use for the August obedience and rally trials.
Ring 1 is on the end closest to the camera. Ring 2 is in the middle. Those rings are the obedience rings.
Ring 3 is on the end, furthest from the camera, and it is the rally ring.

With the blessing of Sammamish Kennel Club, we (Kathy Lang, Debby Warden and Ingrida Robinson) are hosting Rent A Rings (RAR) on both Friday, August 9 and Monday, August 12, 2024 in the obedience building at the Enumclaw Fairgrounds. These RARs will be held in the same rings as obedience and rally judging for the specialties and Olympic Kennel Club.
The cost is $20 per each 15-minute slot, payable when you arrive, via cash or check payable to Sammamish KC. You may share your slot with another person.
The Friday RAR will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm, on the evening before the Washington State Obedience Training Club obedience and rally trials on August 10 & 11, 2024. The Monday RAR will be held from 9 am to 1 pm on Monday after the WSOTC trials and prior to the mid-week specialties and Olympic Kennel Club's shows and trials later in the week. Monday is a day where no other obedience or rally events are being offered.
All income received from both days of Rent A Rings will go to Sammamish Kennel Club as a "thank you" for supporting the obedience and rally community with this opportunity! We are voluntarily donating our time to manage this RAR for the club.
Rings 1 and 2 will be equipped with a high jump, bar jump and broad jump. Ring 3 will have a nested rally course set up.
Rings will be available from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday and from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday. Pre-registration is highly recommended and will close when all slots are filled or 24 hours prior to the RAR date. Day-of registration will be accommodated as space allows.

For the RARs there may be limited indoor crating and plenty of outdoor crating adjacent to the building under the club-provided shade canopies. If you crate inside, please remove your crate as soon as you are finished so we may have space for other participants. (NO INDOOR CRATING IS ALLOWED DURING THE ACTUAL AKC TRIALS.)
Food will NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE RINGS AT ANY TIME! However, you may leave your food on the table outside the ring, then step out of the ring to reward your dog. Toys will be allowed in the ring. Only collars allowed in conjunction with AKC events are allowed (in other words, no pinch collars, etc.). These are not run-throughs; however, you may have someone help you in the ring and/or share ring time.
You may reserve a maximum of 1 obedience slot and 1 rally slot per handler for Friday, and a maximum of 1 obedience slot and 1 rally slot per handler for Monday. If not all slots fill, we will open remaining slots for day-of registration to anyone (even those who already reserved a slot). Pre-registration is highly recommended and will close when all slots are filled or 24 hours prior to the RAR date.
When you are ready to sign up, scroll down and select your ring, then choose your time slot. On the next page you'll be asked to choose your ring time(s). If your preferred times are not available in that ring, try the other ring. Then follow the instructions to finish registering. You must go through the entire check-out process to ensure the system accepts your registration. No payment is due when you register; pay in person at the desk when you arrive. Each 15-minute slot is $20, payable in cash or check made payable to Sammamish Kennel Club.
When you arrive, please check in at our main desk in the obedience building, where the RARs are being held. You'll need to pay by cash (exact change) or check (payable to Sammamish Kennel Club) and you will need to pay the regular parking fee when you arrive. You'll also need to sign the hold harmless clause, so be sure to allow plenty of time to take care of everything and get settled so you do not miss your ring time.
